Mod & You! A Guide & FAQ.
A Guide & FAQ for "Forza Motorsport 4 Music (Add-On Version)

Troubleshooting Tips for "File path is incorrect" & "Customer Installer" Problems:
1. Make your game & workshop files are in the same location (Drive)
2. Run "_CustomWorkshopInstaller.exe" instead of "_CustomWorkshopInstaller_20.exe".
3. Make sure the folders are under your ownership.
4. Redownload the game or use your backup
5. Copy the mod files manually (Do this after you installed your other mods). Go to "#:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\". Now look for the folder "497180" (That's your SLRR workshop mods folder) [If you can not find that folder, look on your other drives]. Once your in that folder, search for "2707345550" (Thats my mod's folder), now go in it. There should be 1 folder "music", Now copy the folder. Now go to the game's main folder, which should be "#:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline". Now paste the folders in the main game folder (Do not paste into the other folders). You should get a message talking about overwriting/replacing files, go ahead and overwrite/replace files. Now you should be ready to go.

FAQ:
Q:What is the source of the music?
A: FLAC's. Youtube as a source is terrible because they offer OPUS or AAC audio which is okay but this game only accepts MP3. Which means you have reconvert it, which degrades the audio quality. Think of it like folding a piece of paper, you fold many times and are left with unrecoverable creases.

Q: Could you use the FLACs instead of MP3's?
A: I could but this game accepts WAV's as the highest quality option. FLAC acts similar to ZIP which saves about 50% of space. If we were to unpack the FLAC back to WAV, the space would double, which would be around 800-MB to 1-GB. Most people can't hear or don't even care about the quality differences anyways. These MP3 320kbps (Highest quality MP3 setting) files take up 200mb already.

Q: Could you do the UI sounds and even engines from FM4 next?
A: I want to but I do not know to bring it into the game (Engine sounds). Recording is not a problem is just the scripting and such, that is the problem. I look at the stock sounds and engine sounds mods and I can't wrap my head around it. I would be nice if somebody can help me with this.

Q: Why not use FH5 engine sounds instead of FM4?
A: FH5 has terrible engine sounds still, at least its better than FH4's. Anyways, FM4 is regarded as having the best engine sounds in a racing game despite being a 10 year old game.
