Don't know what folder means? Well, this is going to be long, but a folder is a way to categorize data in computers. Computers themselves don't really need these sort of categorization, but it was invented to help us humans categorize the data, so we can locate them at a later time. Folders were an important invention to enable us humans to locate a piece of data easily and efficiently.
Don't know what Google is? or what Google search is? With the vast amount of data on the Internet, a group of people came together and said that they'd create a method to ease our efforts in searching for a piece of information on the Internet. Think of the Internet as a gold mine, and "Google search" as the metal detector.
One of the greatest traits of a human being is its thirst for more knowledge, and today even more so, as we live in a highly competitive society, with everyone carrying a computer device in their hands, and constant connection to each other, even while they live thousands miles apart. Ask anyone on the street how to make an Apple Pie and their usual first instinct would be to look up the Internet for some sort of recipe.
Ok, lastly, I didn't know how to program Cities Skylines mods half a year ago, so I took up to learning it and also learn C#, as I've never really touched that language before. I did this because I wanted to play the game and do things that were not possible without these mods. I later decided that I'd share this to the community, since I believe there are other people who have the same need as myself. I (modders) don't get a penny from anywhere doing this, and we just want to share so we can make this game better collectively.
Help me help you! We all do this in our free time. I have full time job, kids, family, that the little time left to our own entertainment, I chose to code mods. I do it because I enjoy it, but you can also contribute if you can use some of your time too to look for these information you don't have yet. The time it took for you to type out those words could have been better spent on Google search engine.
