will it actually produce lights?
it can work like the dynamic lights in half-life 2 when using flashlight. it aslo won't affect the gameplay that much because there isn't many dark spots designed to be dark in all maps

Probably just a volumetric light, like shown in the preview images, that would be cool though.

why would it be a volumetric light? no thats a model. like the lights on the bumber car taunt.

half-life 2 anf tf2 are on the same engine (tf2 is actually a heavily modified hl2)

And how will you go on doing that? and why would it ever be functional? it would be absolutely useless to go through the hassle of creating a functional light source attached to a weapon.

tf2 is a heavily modified half life 2, and hl2 has a working flashlight so it would be possible to reuse the code

actually some maps do have dark spots that help hiding in them too easy, so with this if sneaking around you can spot them and boom goes their ragdoll

exaclty my point! slender maps, instead of using melee, use a pistol with no ammo, like it enables holding it out, but not firing, like it unbinds it, or the enemy can be shot but not take damage, just to make it easier on coding this in

or maybe have that style option in the cosmetics, examples for the "survival style pistol"
