Bug Report
Please be extremely specific about what weapon, ammo type and range when the problem occurred.

One of the Turrets has Extreme volume, Range was around 2.5km - 3km, am not sure exactly what turret is the issue as it was on an NPC vessel and i had to shut off volume to prevent hearing damage.

Small update, ran into the issue again on an npc ship in survival; It is either a small grid fixed mount, or a large grid weapon which fire blue projectiles.

The audio bug is coming from the small ship Fixed weapon.

An audio file used by both the DBY Turbolaser turrets and the Arquitens turrets has extreme volume. It has similar characteristics to what @Bern described.
First off, really dig this mod. The update on 3/9/22 seems to have broken the turrets. They no longer function and the interface appears to be that of a conveyor sorter in the terminal. I am playing on my own dedicated server with a friend; already cleared out all old mod files and re-downloaded. Can supply screenshot if helpful. Other weaponcore weapons still work. Was working fine night of 3/8. thanks!

the Arquitens turret has no sound for some weird reason

Turets dosnt lock targets and never fire idk why

Fixed this as of 3:50pm EST on 3/9/22
its not fixed and I have had to remove it from my modlist.

Ion Cannon was placed on a ground base and crashed the game twice when it tried to aim at a ship

H9 Laser Cannon caused a crash when building completed

Same issue as Gamer Dad. Turrets do nothing and appear as conveyor sorters in the console. Have to remove the mod. Too bad as I truly love this mod and have been using it for years. Any chance you can update it for the latest update? Pretty sure its something to do with weaponcore compatibility
