Perhaps a solar powered dispenser that would change everything as it would punish you for hiding your nest in a dark place without any sun to gain power from where as you'd have to be more out in the open at the bonus that electric power would regen twice as fast.
However without sunlight it regens twice as slowly. costing time you could of been using to make a teleporter.
Also in genral uber useful for MVM where your always out in the sun.
Also the missles would be like posmon shots so it doesn't explode on inpack but can penratont people and it can't be reflected back so useful for MVM against giant pryos.
Also these new posmon style shots shots can drain some ubercharge/cloak a max of like 3% as it will shoot a TON of these shots like a normal sentry that fires rockets away freely.
Also the sentry will drain fully cloaked spys but will not target them unless there undisquised and uncloaked but if you use your wrangler to fish em out for you. now you got a dead spy.
Also the posmon shots will do less self damage as a slight bonus due to it not exploding however due to the same reason it wont launch you as far so useful for learning wrangler jumps.
Those are my personal ideas that I think are really good personally.
not quite shure how that would work, but its still a good idea
Actually, I could see this happening.
The existing status quo is that turrets are swapped out using the wrench [See: Gunslinger]. This makes the function of new PDA questionable, as sentry swapping is already covered and Valve considers Dispensers and Teleporters too vital to engineer gameplay to swap out.
But this whole "Electric Metal" (Let's just call it "Power" for now) could not only change the engineer completely, it could also be fairly balanced, and work with the existing Engineer weapons.
* Metal regenerates slowly over time.
* No metal from dispensers.
