faint radio screams
i was normally playing with npcs and going around the map and after visiting places under the water when after a few minutes i started hearing something that sounded like a man in a scrambled radio yelling if you go back into the the big hole it starts getting louder and stops until i go back up. is this intentional?

yes. that is one of the citadel noises from HL2. Mainly used for combine maps.
