JULY 18TH UPDATES PLAN!
Alright, so now that I've taken a long break to work on some other projects, it's time to do some work on Bestia and get her into an acceptable state as a fully updated spriteswap.

Starting today with figuring out Mod Config Menu support. I will be working nonstop on figuring out programming for that until I can implement that support.

Mod Config Menu support will entail:
- Toggleable Beast Completion and Dead God save file sprites (Default Off)
- Toggleable Music Replacement (Default On)
- Toggleable Dead God Achievement Art (Default On Because The Tiktok Reactions Are Really Funny)
- (Later Update) Changeable Outfits
- Health Adjustment

[THAT IS WHAT I WANT IMPLEMENTED TODAY]

Later updates planned in order of when I'll be doing them

1st: Mouth sprite update. Replacing all mouths with new mouths.
2nd: Eye sprite update. Replacing all eyes with new eyes.
3rd: Flat Update. I will be separating the booba sprites from the body to allow for alternate body shapes. This update will redraw the body entirely.
4th: Hair Update. I will be making her bald and then animating her hair as a brand new set of sprites on top of her head.
5th: Clothing Update. I will be making multiple alternate outfits with Mod Config support to swap between them.
6th: Choker of Bestia. I'll be making a new item that's unlocked by defeating Bestia while you have the Bible as your active item and used it during the encounter. This will fill your life bar with black hearts, and will make black hearts have the Mama Mega effect when they're lost, but you will become weaker with each one you lose.
7th: Playable Bestia. I'll be making a Chibi Bestia as a playable character. She will interact uniquely with charged items where while charging she will draw in circles of fire from around her. Her basic attack will also be homing ghosts that do very little damage but track enemies. She'll fire a burst of those ghosts when firing any charged attack.
8th: I'd love to remake the Ultra Horsemen at this point.
9th: I have plans for the Daughters of Bestia (she has seven) to replace various big bosses around the game. Wrath, Gluttony, Envy and Lust will be the Ultra Horsemen, Greed will be Ultra Greed, Sloth will be Hush, Pride will be Mega Satan.
10th: Also a Triple Dead God sprite for save files. Forgot all aboot this. This'll get mixed in somewhere above.

Oh yeah also the "Arms" update. Reanimating the hands and adding more hand movements throughout the attack patterns. I got lazy in the original Bestia and just made her arms down the whole time.

UPDATE: 1AM JULY 19ST

Okay, so, I've updated MCM to have the following functionality (and tested it)
- Categories: Extras > Bodies > Clothing
- In Extras: New Music (New or Original) > Alt Beast Save (Beast or Bestia) > Alt Dead God Save (Beast or Bestia) > Alt Dead God Achievement (Beast or Bestia)
- In Bodies: Flat > Booba
- In Clothing: Metal Pasties > Mom's Dress

All of the above is remembered between playthroughs, and all except Alt Music is defaulted to OFF.

All of those can be toggled on or off.

HOWEVER....................

.................None of them do literally anything.

I AM DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME MAKE THEM DO SOMETHING. PLEASE.

I spent hours, hours, HOURS trying to figure out .lua scripting.

I have the music, the dead god save sprites, the beast completion save sprites and the dead god achievement art in little side folders so they don't auto-replace the original.

All I need to do is simple:

When load gfx/ui/main menu/savedrawings/beast.png
If BeastSprite = Bestia, then load BestiaExtras/beast.png

When load gfx/ui/main menu/savedrawings/deadgod.png
If DeadGodSprite = Bestia, then load BestiaExtras/deadgod.png

When load gfx/ui/achievements/achievement_deadgod.png
If DeadGodCheevo = Bestia, then load BestiaExtras/achievement_deadgod.png

THAT'S IT

AND I CAN'T FIGURE THOSE OUT MAN

Hope you find help with the lua coding. Personally no clue.

But also hope the NSFW and original boob size options have not fallen off your to do list

Only suggestion is maybe look to the modding discord servers? Im sure things will work out in the end regardless, so i'd say try to keep your sanity and avoid burning out if possible lol
MGTexture, for one mod, does ingame sprite switching by MCM though I forget if it works when the sprite's on the screen. Could try seeing if that code gives you any ideas.

Update, I've been digging through MGTexture trying to figure it out.

I really wish there was like a clear "If Option On, Replace Boss Sprite Yes"

But I can't figure it out at all

UPDATE: So what I'm planning CANNOT BE DONE with MCM.

At all.

I can make the music able to be toggled and make Bestia's alt bodies, but that's it.

I have to make it compatible with REPENTOGON, the Isaac LUA extender.

So, I am officially canceling Bestia's planned MCM support! Sorry everyone, just literally cannot be done. I will instead be giving Bestia a custom menu to toggle optional features inside of Repentogon.
Not a huge fan of having to get Repentogon but it is what it is. Can't wait for the final product. Hope you're not losing your mind over this.
