toddlers not wearing toddler onesies

hi,
i have 2 toddlers at the age of 6 and i cant get them to wear any clothes. Normal clothes dont work, toddler onesies dont work, baby onesies dont work. When i right-click it says "cannot wear .....: "

Same. Probably something to do with 1.4 is not updated for the clothes requirement because I think it worked in older versions...
