Quick Tip
Instead of angrily telling users to "read the f*cking description", actually implement input handling yourself (with a rebind button in your existing utility menu, which is easy with a DBinder[wiki.facepunch.com]) instead of running everything from a concmd callback, or at least update the description to show bind syntax, if you're gonna require people bind manually.

Maybe at least have a key bound by default?

Or maybe people can take 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seconds to google how to bind commands, hell even the console tells you how to bind commands. It's not my problem that people today can't even do a simple thing such as binding a command.

I am not expecting them to have a brain. I know they don't have one, but that isn't a reason for me to waste my time.

2 seconds to bind it in the console, no need for spawnmenu bloat

There's already a tab in utilities for the addon, it wouldn't add any more bloat if you put it in the same section.

(which fyi you would know if you'd looked at the screenshots, a perfect example of why it should be bound by default as most people don't read anything)

no wonder no one even knows how to install legacy addons anymore, people like you want everything to be babyfied
If someone doesnt know how to bind then they can look it up and immediately know how to bind something in the future. If there's a baby method for them to do it they will just complain on the next addon that doesn't have such a thing

It's the job of the addon provider to handle UX, not "oh just let them do it they'll figure it out".
Of course you don't HAVE to do any UX, but then you can't complain when people start asking questions you deem stupid.

Also you haven't addressed your spawnmenu bloat comment, which proves the need to be explicit.

Go in a non sandbox derived gamemode without a spawnmenu... Let's see your dbinder help you then

That's merely an example, now assuming that this was used in a non sandbox derived gamemode (which is unlikely given it doesn't even support multiplayer), then a more well thought out method would be required than a DBinder, or you could just provide a default bind which conflicts with a little as possible, then make rebinding possible from console, as well as the DBinder for gamemodes with a spawnmenu.

Also you have yet to address both your initial spawnmenu bloat comment, and now the fact that not doing UX is fine, but then you can't complain when people ask "stupid" questions.

How about you stop larping and just bind x key

That is not a valid argument (specifically it's ad hominem).

It's not directed towards you (e.g I didn't call you fat) but the stance you are taking. Now I admire your dedication to UX but people should just RTFM if they don't know basic things, most are just kids too so it'll teach them that googling is good!

Firstly, "you stop larping" is directed specifically at me, secondly, not doing UX is fine, especially in something as informal as a workshop addon, but then you cannot complain when people ask questions you deem stupid.
