NPC Mod with Active Development 41+: Aiteron Discord
Link to Aiteron discord, you most likely have seen a couple of this guy's mods on the workshop already. He has a mod of his own that adds functional NPCs, but unfortunately it seems it was also broken with the new update. Mod author seems to be working on it as of 12/24/2021.

Seeing how this was 2 years ago yeah that makes sense

You can search up Aiteron NPC if you want. Dk if he is still working on pz or not but a google search can always solve that.
