I had a crash to desktop twice when I enter a safe room and the game tries to load the next map. This happened on the first map, where I then nocliped to the safe room again and the next map loaded with no issues. 2nd map, I play it as normal and get to the safe room, only for it to crash again when loading the next map.

that happened to one of my tester, who was using HD textures and high poly survivor models, crash on every map transition. Are you using HD packs?

In map 1 there is a white van that is supposed to block survivors from walking through an enclosed area. However, the van has it's collision set to "Non solid". I was able to walk through it and it leads to an area the player is not supposed to be at. It is located just next to a house where the survivors start :)

I don't think I do, but I will double check later and let you know once I fiddle with my add ons!

its hard to find the root of game crashing on every case... from my side I know the map is forcing the engine limits and for example, HD mods wont help on that, but also the bug can be from another thing. In worst case scenario, you will have to disable all your mods to play this

Ok so I looked and I had a few mods and here's what I had that I THINK caused the crashes:

* "Smoother" arms mod for the survivors, likely added more polygons for the first person arms
* Upscaled survivors mod. I believe this mod just alters the textures, but who knows?
* Upscaled infected mod. Same as the survivor one.
* Enhanced materials for Hunter mod. Seems to affect only textures, but listing it here just in case.
* L4D1 Smoker burn texture improvement.

I know I don't use HD textures for survivors or infected, but considering I used a few mods that altered the textures to be less crap, that too could be a source of my crashes.

Oh, I remember people talking about hunter textures, something like they got crashes when hunter (or it victim, not sure) take damage and the blood decals make the client crash

i've been having the same problem, but it seems to work properly now that i disabled the same mod "Smoother arms" , awesome work Roku!

sometimes depends on the PC power of each player, but not a bad reminder that the engine is reaching 20 years old and it breaks easily xD

Ok so I got through the first two maps no problem, but when I talk to the church guy, the horde event makes the game crash.

that still sounds like the engine being overloaded somehow, zombie limit increases = game cant handle it

I'll try it again and see if it's a fluke, but I know for sure I don't use any mod that alters the zombie population.

not about the population, I mean my event, its in the biggest area and full of zombies, somehow it is reaching the engine limits, or one of the limits like the texture cache... Just guessing
