I'm not sure this is able to be done (or has already been done), but shouldn't it be possible to code that your repair bench will be the bench you made the item on?
so that tailoring bench will also be the repair bench for apparel, the smithing table for smithed items and etc.?
I honestly think that would be more accurate and awesome.
