Node Controller Renewal 3.5
RubyRobbins 15 May, 2021 @ 1:50pm
Adjusted junctions looking like crumpled carpet....
I have an odd bug where my adjusted junctions etc look like crumpled carpet when I log back into a saved game. I have to go around each and every junction I have adjusted and click on them with Node Controller in order to 'smooth' them back to looking like a normal road?

Any idea why is this happening?

Thank you <3

I was about to make a post about the same problem! Unfortunately I still have not found a solution/workaround for it :(
My guess is, it has something to do with the Intersection Markings Mod, but honestly it is just a guess :/

In case it helps I made some screenshots about it. Hope it helps

Before (directly after loading the save): https://i.imgur.com/o3DtKys.jpg

After (after clicking on a junction): https://i.imgur.com/BwPjc0L.jpg

Oddly enough clicking on one junction sometimes updates some other junction on the road.

P.S. What mods are you using Rudy? Perhaps we can find a solution together...

Hi Thierry, yes I was thinking that maybe it had something to do with Intersection Markings Mod. I have just started a new city, so I will go and adjust a highway intersection without intersection markings with Node Controller.

The only places I get the 'crumbled' roads are the places I've used Intersection Marking Mod.

As for the mods I'm using.....Way too many to mention haha!

Here are some pics I've just taken of my 'crumbled carpet' I have to go around each individual 'crumble' and click on it with Node Controller for it to 'smooth' out back to normal. It's not really a chore at the minute as I've only just started this map, but I think I'll be bashing my head off the keyboard if I had to go around 81 tiles to iron it all out!

I'll go now and test without markings.

Maybe related: nodes modified with NCR and IMT in map editor looks fine in game until tile is not purchased. When I purchase a tile, all such updated nodes get some 'hiccups' on the road, see screenshot. If I select a node with NCR, road turns backk to flat as it should be, but unfortunately game will crash immediately or within a few seconds...

Correction: game crash not related to this mod... I was too optimistic trying to overclock my PC.

see mod version in content manager or mod settings. it should be 3.0.1. If you see another version, then resubscribe to mod for force update, because steam sometime have problems with dowload updates.

Mod version is up to date. I even tried reinstalling it but it does not seem to work :(

Hi Macsergey, thank you for your response. I checked and yes, my mod is up to date. I just unsubscribed, and subscribed again, and I still have the same problem.

Thierry, I used the Node Controller on a junction with no intersection markings, and I still had the problem, so I'm thinking that it has nothing to do with the Intersection Marking Mod.

I wonder does it have anything to do with 'Move it' as I do use Move it on most of my roads.

I think I'll go back to the old version, until there's another update, as I never had any problems with old version.

Have installed beta version, and can confirm the road 'hiccups' I've reported are gone - great!

Thank you so much! I did as you asked, and everything is perfect again!

I love your Mod, and would hate to have to be without it <3

I'm afraid I'm still having this issue as well. I unsubscribed and resubscribed and still no fix.
