Bugged Junctions upon loading a savegame
Hello again,
I mentioned my Problem in a previous Thread (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2472062376/5711105714140394117/) but it appears that I have a different issue that wasn't fixed by moving to the Beta Version.

Whenever I load up a save all roads that have been adjusted in the save using NCR appear very deformed here the screenshots:

Before (directly after loading the save): https://i.imgur.com/o3DtKys.jpg

However once I simply click the Nodes using the NCR tool it automatically "updates" it to the correct adjustment made using the mod in the as they were in the save. Curiously it also appears to update the next Node down the road should it also have been adjusted using NCR, here the Screenshot:

After (after clicking on a junction): https://i.imgur.com/BwPjc0L.jpg

Since mentioning the problem in the last thread I did some experimenting and found out the following:

  • The Problem applies to all Roads, Vanilla, Network Expansion 2 and others, the only common factor is that they had an adjustment made using NCR, if the node hasn't been adjusted the problem doesn't appear
  • If a road has been only been shifted using corner alignment the problem doesn't appear to happen.
  • (I should mention here that I don't know how to code so I'm not sure if this is in any way helpful hahahah) As slightly visible in screenshot the main problem appears to be "pulling back of one of the roads leading into the junction" data isn't properly applied since each road leading into the Junction appears to have been shifted into the Center of the Node, because clicking on a junction causes it to update to the right parameter the NCR Node data doesn't seem to corrupted, it appears to only to happen upon loading the save, my guess is that after loading the save file the game is unable to properly apply the junction data. (This is also not universal, some Highways and Train tracks in my City do not have that Problem, but I think this mainly due to how the way the Game Renders Highways in General since they get a smoothing effect at the Junctions in general).
  • Though I did initially use the old Node Controller mod, this doesn't appear to be the problem since new Nodes adjusted with NCR also have the same problem. I should also mention that I did not have the problem with the old Node Controller mod.

Since I don't know how to code I haven't been able to confirm the next observations so take them with a grain of salt, the idiot I am didn't create a collection for all the assets and mods I use for my current map (and I haven't figured out how to put them all into a collection yet and ceebs to do it individually). Perhaps someone who experiences the same problems and was smart enough to put their workshop items into a collection could confirm these for me :)

  • In the previous thread I mentioned that the problem might stem from the Junction Marking mod but I no longer think that might be the problem since nodes that don't have any markings also have that problem, it only happens because the Roads leading into the junction are bugged upon loading the save, "updating" the Nodes by clicking on them using NCR fixes it.
  • I have Network Skins installed but the Problem also happens to Roads that had no adjustment made using the mod.
  • I also have TMPE installed but it also appears to have no connection to the problem.
I hope this helps! I will of course update you in case I find anything new. This bug is in no way game breaking just a hassle to update all the Nodes once the game loads, regardless of this problem this is still an amazing mod and you truly made Cities Skylines a new game with it and I love it.

EDIT: Fixed some formatting issues
