Right now I only added it to the bandit and raider ships. I have plans to add it to more later on. I agree I think it really helps with immersion.
I've checked out almost every star class and the new visuals are fantastic. I've also found a couple of the larger wreck POI's and feel that the dust/debris fields add a great 'something happened here' feeling to the POI. Also, having multiple loot boxes make them more likely to be visited. I'm assuming that these will still be fairly low-level loot tables, but can still be helpful to new players - I found a power coil(?) in one of the loot cans.
I've not been able to notice any ambient sound effects at any of the sites, however. I've been to data caches and wrecks. Where am I likely to find the bandits/raiders? I'll happily track them down and check out the radio chatter. Loved the trailer, btw.
Right now the only ambient sounds are in some of the asteroid fields that have a thick dust cloud. You can hear a low rumble in the background but it's subtle. Also some of the data caches have a hum when you get near them.
The bandits and raiders will also send out random radio chatter. You can find them in some combat sites (red triangles on the solar system map in neutral space).
wow haven't gotten to see that yet but just knowing you have added something like that is awesome! can't wait!
The floaty decals and the sporadic crashing sounds have really improved the ambient of those boring POI's.
I found one specific poi that I had never seen, don't know if its new or if it was an rng thing. A big white ship, looks like one of those alien blade weapons for HALO, looking at it's equipment, it's probably an old build, but the disk shaped interior of the ship actually works really well, with the 4 gravity generators and the new slower transition between gravity fields. I couldn't find any markings to be able to find the original ship in the workshop, if by some miracle you remember this one POI among the other 1000, could you please share the name or even the link of the build.
Also this ship would be perfect for a colonist POI!!!
Anyway, thank you for your continued work in project eden!!!! it really makes EGS a game worth playing!!
P:S. The BP name is "Eden_Sj_JunkT3_1"
