You have to enable the openweather API in the settings.

1) Enter the API key
2) Hit Enter

3a) If the password changes into "*******", then you can click on the checkbox to enable/disable it.
3b) If the password changes into "INVALID" then you've entered an invalid API-key.

I did this, and everything works fine, but I'm wondering, is it by design that the weather doesn't change by API? that is, this is a one-shot forecast at the time of receiving the API, and it will not change?

It should update every 10th minute after you entered a location.
Do note that it uses real-time weather, so it does not change that frequently.

I don't know, my openweather showed that the cloudiness was 0%, but the stormfox showed that it was cloudy now. one day has passed since openweather was connected

If you toggle the API, will it update the weather?
Also do check the weather-screen and see what the API reports.

I tried 2 API generated by me and the API that was sent to me by mail. They both find my city, and the correct location is also shown in the weather settings, but the weather still does not change

While the free API-key allows you to make a call every 2nd second, it sadly only updates the local-weather every 10th minute.

I can't really do much, as it is an API and out of my hands.
I can however make the transition a bit smoother.. going to do that in next update.

ok. but it really start works, idk why. It doesn't work before
