Hello! I wanted to ask you how hard was it to make new gametypes/layers, and how hard was it to restrict items like the TOW. Since modding is getting more focus from the devs, I've been thinking about going into the SDK and making my own invasion layers. I have 0 experience with making mods so I don't have a passion for them. But I thought it could be cool to try if its very easy to do.

Hi mate, I am a server admin for an OCE server called ZSU gaming https://discord.com/invite/zsu. We have just started hosting your mod on one of our servers and thought we would let you know. We are just getting it going today with a custom server map voting system we have built in house and will be promoting the server and mod to the wider OCE community.

Awesome! Great to hear! If youd like to avoid infinite running man issues, i suggest you only make layers ending in _CAF and _Vanilla available.
Also, HLP_Kokan_GRAAS_v1_CAF is currently broken and should not be run

Is it possible to change or disable the building costs? We would rly like to implement the mod with its system of changing the lanes and adding new flags on our Ger Exp. Server SquadHub to kill the problem with squadlanes and get some new mapplay but the biggest problem we encounter is the costs of HAB and co. In the German Com. something like that could kill your server cause its too much of a change. I would really appreciate it if this could be changed or disabled manualy or something like that so we only have the system with the flags and co on it. i know this is something that i shouldnt ask someone who puts his blood and sweat to something that rly makes the game like it should be. but it would be rly great if we can work something out :). if u want a little chat or something im in for it :D

Layers beginning with HRR currently do not have any custom factions or anything. Purely point selection updates

Hello, I am working towards a complete data set for layers as reported by RCON (ref the Google.doc)
I'm missing weather/type, team1, team2 info for HLP_Gorodok_AAS_v1, HLP_GooseBay_PAAS_v1, HLP_Chora_PAAS_v1, HLP_Tallil_Outskirts_Skirmish_v1, HLP_Tallil_Outskirts_Conquest_v1, HLP_Sumari_Conquest_v1 and weather/type for HLP_Logar_AAS_v1
Are these known or is there a more complete list, I'd rather not have to cycle all the maps rn :)

All layer information is available in the google doc within the mod workshop page.
I will not be reworking all of my layer names any time soon

hmmm, the ones I listed above are missing from or super hard to find in Google.doc.
The vanilla ones I sorted with my vanilla Squad list but the others I had to cycle our server for the info.

Regarding my naming comments before, I take back, mostly its just some minor miss-matches between the google.doc and current code that had me thinking pain.

So you get where I'm coming from re data in the doc;
We needed to make sure people will understand what they are voting for.
For HLP the version num is somewhat de funked for this purpose which is fine.
Harvesting of the LightingLayer and faction data from the log+rcon can be unreliable(missing data/wrong names etc) hence - I like the HLP map_mode_version_type/weather/time_team1_team2 very much now I've played with it, I just wish it was for all of them with maybe the exception of the Vanillas.

I may change the naming of the Vanilla ones to better denote them some day, as I do recommend Vanilla layers post-seeding due to running man bug stuff. But we'll see. Its surprisingly annoying to rename layers in teh editor without having it crash constantly

Hi, I want to make a mod with my layers, they will have the only change: the picture on the minimap will be replaced with a custom picture. Is it possible to do this? And how easy will it be? Is it possible to make the mod weigh very little? This mod will be used at events.

It should be relatively lightweight yes, but more annoying than you think. I recommend joining the modding discord to learn more.
