Death 13 won't go to nightmare world

So i was playing with my friend today and i decided to use death 13 when i knocked my friend out and he was transported to nightmare world i tried using dododo so i could go there with death 13 but i stayed in regular world although i was still controlling the stand in nightmare world.
Anybody know a fix?
