You do not need to discriminate fish meat from meat.. cause it is already meat.
P.S. Also last week i did eat fish steak, quite tasty :)
Leave unlogical mod author decisions about making inconsistent "specific ingridient food" recipes to them and go on making intresting mod mechanics, worthwile your time instead of doing tonns of patches
In real life, there may be fish steaks, but the "steaks" in the game are probably red meat or alien meat. It is not fish meat by the looks of it, nor is it a dish for fish meat.
If you ask me, there are even vegetable steaks. But in the game, you can't use vegetables for steak, can you? If that's need, someone will just make a mod for it.
Also, I'm not going to create massive patch. Because I don't think that's necessary.
Are there any situations where you have to use fish meat for dishes added in other mods? Of course, all fish can be used in vanilla meals, and the separate categories should make it easier to keep track of ingredients and inventory.
If you want to use fish meat more effectively, you can use my add-on mod.
