Unit Compatibility Request
EDIT - thread locked cause there's a new version that has auto-compatibility with any unit mods, it isn't savegame compatible with the main mod however thus the 2 versions for now;

You can request any unit mods be made compatible here (as in, they require troops to replenish - unit mods don't cause issues otherwise).

Please include a list of the main unit keys (found in main_units_tables) alongside what troop type you think the unit should consume that would make adding units much easier and faster. For example;

Empire
wh_main_emp_inf_spearmen_0 - state troops
wh_main_emp_inf_swordsmen - state troops
wh_main_emp_art_great_cannon - engineers

Regiments of Reknown and heroes/lords don't use troops

For The custom Factions units and custom units Mods that you like to see.
Hey Lurhul I wanted to say that I find the mod interesting and I would like it if you could add some custom faction untis and custom units mods with your Unit replenishment.

Hooboy, that's a list. I'll go through these in time. I can say right now I can't add Amazons or Chaos Dwarfs just yet though, because new races like that are a problem I don't want to tackle just yet. It requires rewriting some code. The rest look doable at a glance.

Good idea about the discussion thread for requesting unit mods, I made a pinned one for such requests.

Here are some mods that I would apreciate more if they could work with your population mod.
-Vampire Counts Infernal Unit Pack is a mod that ads several units of infantary and cavalary. -Tomb Kings: Extended adds units I think of all types and introduces the slave mechanic to the tomb kings not sure if you can convert the slaves to undead as they die or if that happens happens in the lore but I think it would be interesting. For vampire counts I would expect that this could happen where the extermination mechanic would convert the living to undead with a decresing chance if the race was not human.

Im impressed how fast you implemented this, thank you!

One oddity of the mod Guns of the Empire (from what I could find out) is that those units labeled "ror" are not actually Regiment of Renown but actual units, so would still need to be added. (They're are Elite units, so maybe thats why they are labeled that way?)

Also the so called Clockwork Bombard (snek_empire_artillery_guided_missile) did not use the manpower pool. It might be that I misjudged and its actual name is : (snek_empire_artillery_siege_bombard)

Ok I updated it

Unit with _ror in the name not actually being ror, that's a new one

And yeah, literally 99% of the work involved in adding compatibility is downloading the mod, figuring out what unit is what, what is or isn't ror when it isn't properly labelled (which is always), etc. It's super easy if you post the actual main unit keys and troop types

Added. Currently there will be a short delay adding new units because I'm working on the next update and it's becoming increasingly difficult to comment out the changes while I add new units.

So I have been working on listing all of the units from Sigmars Heirs and their hopefully sensible troop type. Im almost done, however the list is over 400 units long already (thanks to all the reskins and new knightly orders). Should I post it in here anyway or just send you the documents I've wrote them down in?

Post a pastebin here. I'll have to figure out how to decouple all the data classes and the main code file before I can add that many units though. I know it can be done, but I could never figure out how

Well, I guess SFO units could be useful for most people because of that mod's popularity.

Mortal troops and artillery of the vampires, as well as new undead. And Chaos has a few troops, too.
