metal textures are not working they glow purple for some reason do i need another addon for this to work

This can be for several reasons:
You play on a map where Env cubemap is missing;
Your Gmod doesn't load Env cubemap for some reason.

About half a year ago, I couldn't see env cubemap too.

Try reinstalling the game and clearing the addon cache to fix your env cubemaps.
Alternatively, enter mat_specular 0 in the console to disable reflections.

For some reason, I do not have a metal texture in my bodygroup on the server

Hi! I´ve seen that there are a lot of visual glitches in a lot of very popular weapon mods, the hands and body stretch and it (depending on the gun) sometimes covers the whole screen, if you need screenshots so that you can see what i mean, tell me! :)

I also encountered this bug. Im using the " TFA Base REDUX (Original Reupload) " along with the some of the weapons these mod bases are for.
Judging from others. This appears to be an animation bug but I don't know much about playermodels.

This only happens from your perspective meaning others cant see the bug
