Well, don't I look like a dummy. I completely missed that.

I'm curious though...their whitelist XComANCE_units.ini file contains a single unit override entry at the bottom of it, whereas in your mod all the stat changes and overrides happen in the XComANCE.ini config file.

This is what the bottom of their ini looks like:
