Speaking of which, what is the actual difference between going for bombs or going for missiles? Is it even worth going for either instead of just investing in cruise missiles and only using strategic airbases?
Would you consider something like the A-3 Skywarrior, AJ Savage, or the A-5 Vigilante as heavy carrier aircraft?
both of them are released in greater numbers so the enemy air defenses will probably be saturated but they will be more usefull when i finish the land units aspect of the mod
I feel though that the current singleplayer gameplay (and the AIs in general) make things feel very rushed. I think the timing on the techs and buildings is good, but maybe calm the AI down a little bit, because as it is it seems like the only really viable strategy is to rush ICBMs and start slinging them as fast as you can.
I have no idea how possible this would be, but implementing a system of phases similar to DEFCON would be neat. For example, start out with conventional war, escalate to tactical nukes, then permit strikes against military targets before finally allowing unrestricted nuking of civilians. Is it possible to expand on the functionality of the 'peacetime/no nukes' sliders like that?
I feel like the ICBMs flying should be the culmination of the endgame rather than the default go-to strategy. I may be alone on that though.
I liked your complaint twas pithy
How on earth can you tell that its performing like a WW2 Cruiser? From the icon/model?
Or is this just rhetoric??
