Class/Species Overview: Andromedon
- The Andromedon has three specializations. Unstoppable, which is all about taking the fight to the enemy. Melee is the main focus, but shooting is not overlooked. The Talos tree focuses on support; it includes skills that let an isolated Andromedon quickly catch up to the squad, and also features abilities that can help with mopping up enemies or softening up fresh targets. The Immovable tree can make the Andromedon the most durable alien you can get, which will help it immensely when wailing repeatedly on a target up close.

- At Squaddie rank, Andromedons have access to Acid Blob (this is tied to their secondary weapon, they will always have this ability unless you change their secondary), as well as Fist Strike, Flush, and an ability called Wallcrasher that can be activated as a free action to let the Andromedon break walls and cover while moving. They WILL break squad concealment if they move while that ability is active.

- Andromedon melee attacks are inaccurate, but don't blow them off entirely. Their gun isn't much better at the same distance, and the Pugilistic ability offers a significant buff to melee accuracy.

- Be careful about where you use Fist Strike. Even on a miss, it will decimate any close by cover, which can be bad news for both your target and your own Andromedon. If you pick the Thrash ability, be even more careful about positioning. The Resilience ability can help alleviate the threat that flanking shots present.

- Between their non-existent stealth ability and their massive damage output and durability, Andromedons are one of the best candidates for Retaliations and rescuing other aliens.

- Andromedons can equip and throw grenades.

- If you have the Gene Mods mod, Andromedons will always have the Secondary Heart ability (this is intended to replace the robot backup ability, which was unreliable in terms of it actually functioning properly). It is attached to their character template, not their class.

I've just had an Andromedon die without the battlesuit engaging. Ability doesn't seem to be working.

Yeah, it doesn't work properly. I do have something different in mind, though. I'm glad you made this post because it reminded me to do it.

I'm having a glitch where my ability tree is different from the one in the doc and it only has 2 rows. Have all the required mods on and tried deleting and reinstalling the mod so I have no clue whats up

Look at the Conflicts section of the description.

I encounter a glitch were the Andromedon can't use its secondary weapon (acid blob) as a squaddie, and there's not a skill that allows otherwise.
