Why is this only a beta?

To make a long story short, due to bad behavior from community members taking and/or profiting from mods created by modders without consent or permission I got soured on modding for a long time. Because of this, I didn’t formally release anything till recently. Turtle Rock’s release of the unfinished "Damit" campaign sparked me to try releasing again with my version, "Damit Complete."

Why is this now on Steam Workshop?

When I first released “Dead Getaway” there was no Steam Workshop to put it on Steam for release. Recently someone decided to post this on Steam Workshop without my consent or permission. So, I decided to put it on my Steam Workshop page now.

Will this get a full release?

Yes, no, maybe... after finishing up "Damit Complete" and doing patching here and there on it, I’ve had a renewed focus on completing it. From the feedback I got from this Beta release and other testers I have been working on a revised version of "Dead Getaway” campaign based on the Beta.

Will this get any updates?

Right now, updates are a low priority for this. After 9 years there is a lot that I have learned and things that I know I would/should do differently. I did consider doing more before releasing it on Steam but it would have taken more time and didn't want to break what was working. Getting into real changes and fixes will take time I would rather put into the revised "Dead Getaway” campaign.
