How to use [WOTC] Advent Drone instead of LWOTC with Buildable Units
While Buildable Units was made and balanced with LWOTC in mind, it can work without it. It takes a little bit of config work on the user's part, which can be done in a program as simple as Notepad. Here are the steps to use hectorzx's Advent Drone mod with Buildable Units:

1) Go into Buildable Units' XComBUOptions.ini
2) Find [BuildableUnits.BU_AdventDrone_Tech]
3) Comment out (put a semicolon in front of) these two lines:
+AdventDroneTech_RequiredTech = "AutopsyDrone"
AdventDroneTech_RequiredCorpse = "CorpseDrone"
4) Uncomment (get rid of the semicolon in front of) these two lines:
;+AdventDroneTech_RequiredTech = "AutopsyDroneH"
;AdventDroneTech_RequiredCorpse = "CorpseDroneH"
5) Repeat the previous 3 steps for [BuildableUnits.BU_HunterDrone_Tech] and [BuildableUnits.BU_EnigmaDrone_Tech]
6) Save those changes.
7) Go into Buildable Units' XComClassData.ini
8 Find all instances of "LWDroneMeleeStun" and replace them with "DroneHMeleeStun"
9) Find all instances of "LWDroneShock" and replace them with "DroneHShock"
10) Find all instances of "LWDroneRepair" and replace them with "DroneHRepair"
11) Save those changes.

Note that when I do an update, configs may be reset, so refer back to this thread or make backups as you deem necessary.

How does some one remove a buildable unit from the proving ground?

Use WSR or something to disable it by adding an Engineering Score requirement of 99999 to it or something.

Thanks! I have one more question:

I do not see the prototype military mech shoulder Gatling in the the mechs inventory or when deployed (says insufficient ammo).

Does it have a LW requirement to be a part of the mech?

Make sure your Buildable Units is up to date (unsub+resub to force it if necessary), and respec any existing Assault MECs (Prototype or standard) in your barracks. This was an issue in a past build that should be fixed now.

If doing these things doesn't fix it, let me know.

I did and nothing has changed. I built another mech and even respected existing. Still no shoulder cannon :\

I just tested on my end and can confirm it's broken for me too, I don't know why but the bright side is that not running LWOTC has nothing to do with this problem.

I'll get it fixed ASAP.

im having a problem, i have made the file changes but the drones dont have any abilitys, it maybe be because im a potato and didnt do that changes before i built a drone (found out i had to afterward) or is the solution to build one after the changes? or is it a i need all the mods from the list to get them to work? it does day "Missing'LocFriendlyName' for 'none' " for the abilitys

If you did the changes after building a Drone, respec the Drone. If you're not running LWOTC, you'll need shiremct's Additional Soldier Console Commands mod to do this.
