I gave a Jelly Scholar a Largestone and then a Loadstone. The gravity effect just didn't work, it didn't move down a floor at all in two battles
(Also when initially buying the loadstone there was no hover-over explanation for how the gravity effect worked until actually placing the loadstone on the Jelly Scholar (but before buying))
