Feeding as a vampire without being caught.
I try to keep my hunger low, and only feed on people in the dungeon with the "drink some" option, but I get caught by some guard nearly every time. Is there some kind of way to ensure that I can feed in secret?

@Snaek first, try turning down the game rule that sets how often monsters are discovered. Also, feed on older and less important people.

I just realized that the game I was playing had low monster discovery chance. I wish that there was a tooltip that would tell you how likely you are to be caught when feeding because honestly it's kind of absurd how easy it is to be caught.

Like for real, they're in my personal dungeon, you're telling me I'm too dumb to tell the guard to go somewhere else while I feed on a prisoner?

Considering how often you have to feed, you stand zero chance of being a secret vampire for longer than a year or two.

If I feed on a lowborn courtier, in my dungeon, on low monster discovery chance, and choose "drink some blood", and I still get caught, that's just silly.

At this point, to roleplay, I'm just going to remove the trait with the console whenever I get it.

@Snaek I'll look into lowering the chance of being discovered, or changing how often you need to feed. Thanks for the report!

I don't think the big deal is being revealed when you feed on more important people, it's just that I think imprisoned landless lowborns should basically be free food lol

Just going to chime in here regarding vampires, the frequency of feeding and the whole 'getting caught' thing has been my main issue with them since Mythos I. I feel like any ruler in a reasonable position of power to have a court (basically any ruler in ck2) would be smart enough to make a couple thralls and feed on them often enough and thinly enough for things not to be apparent, and to do so in locations within their demense where they would not be seen or there would be no consequence if seen.

Unless of course they're going for tyranny and terror a la Dracula in Castlevania.

@KhalunQalli I plan on doing an overhaul, allowing vampires to have more in-depth features. For example, what if your character is kind and zealous? They might do everything they can to be cured and avoid hurting others.

Zealous and not Luciferian/ Damned I would think.

@Snaek yeah. I think being luciferian or damned and being kind should be either impossible, or have negative effects and events allowing you to switch away from the evil religion.
