Assigning a city style to a modded civilization
Many thanks for your hard work, this looks amazing!

I was just wondering if you or anyone could elaborate on what I'd need to do to assign one of your new city/monument styles to a civilization added by another mod, such as JFD's Nicholas for example?

Thanks again! :wololo:

Hey I was also wondering. I love playing native american civs and playing merrick's tlingit is great till you see step pyramids where totem poles should be.

So normally, to change the civ style , you have to go to the mod folder and then to the "ArtDefs" file. At this moment, open the document "Cultures", and change what's in: <m_name text = "..." /> to the name of the style you want. Pay attention to the era you choose, and not to erase an extra symbol. Hope this can help you, and sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my main language

No, this is great and so is your english. I had messed with cultures in other mods before but wasn't exactly sure how to adjust for this one thank you.

@galaxie76 thanks a lot for that explanation, but would you know how would I assign the style to a new civilization NOT listed in the ArtDefs file you referred to? For example, I would like JFD's Nicholas (new civ) to have Mediterranean city style. Many thanks for all your help!

@🎃my brudda🎃normally, each mod with a civilization has its own "artdefs" files, found in the Steam folder. (Steam -> SteamApps -> workshop -> content). On the other hand, it becomes more complicated in the "content" folder: you have to find the number of the file for civilization VI, and in this one, find the number of the civilization you want changed. DO NOT RENAME them to find your way around better! When I did, the mods weren't recognized anymore... I hope it's clear enough

@galactam Many thanks for the follow-up! I found the directory you referred to, this is the full path of the ArtDefs directory of the custom civilization (JFD's Nicholas):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1305054648\ArtDefs

The following 3 files are present there:
FallbackLeaders.artdef
Leaders.artdef
UserInterface.artdef

Searching for "m_name" I found this line:
<m_Name text="LEADER_JFD_NICHOLAS_II"/>

However I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to change or add at this point, would you mind telling me if I'm on the right track? Appreciate your time :wololo:

Oww, it's for a leader only... hmm sorry, but in this case, I don't really know what to do. There must be a line of code to add for the style of civilization to change from the leader, but I don't know how to do that at all. Sorry, sincerely ...
