Q: "How do I use this addon?"

Hold the C key, then move your mouse to the top left corner of the screen where there will be a header, click on the NPC tab and scroll down to the bottom, there should be a dropdown of weapon choices you can spawn your SNPCs with.

Q: "Why do my SNPCs T-Pose when they are using pistols?"

A lot of NPC models on the workshop, especially custom ones ripped from other games, are likely to not have the required HL2 pistol related animations coded into them, so the game is unable to use those animations when they are firing pistols. There is nothing I could do about this.

However, you can download SNPC addons where pistols can work normally on the models, such as the American Police SNPCs by Cpt. Hazama.

Q: "Where are the knives?"

I had decided not to include knives, because you would be hard pressed to find NPC models that have the required animations for them.
