What I think about and plan to do with the ocean planets.
First of all I would like to apologize for my moderate English, most of it comes from the translater. I usually speak German and if you want to do this here, you are also welcome to read.
Basically, my game is used as PVE and single player and maybe it can include a somewhat one-sided view.
I haven't been playing Empyrion for a long time and find that the ocean planets deserve more attention, maybe I haven't been playing long enough. ;)

So the water planets offer unimagined opportunities that not many gamers have yet used.
Therefore I will devote myself to this topic.

I basically imagine 3 scenarios for the use of water planets on the oceans (not on land).

1. A scenario that is closely based on the game Empyrion. An industrialized use of the oceans with all types of technical buildings, shipyards, defense systems, ships and aircraft. Visually, the style will be close to the Polaris buildings and Human industrial design as known.
The Deepwater Hope base belongs to this scenario.

2. A post-apocalyptic scenario, which is close to the idea of the Movie "Waterworld".
Here I imagine floating settlements composed of wreckage and junk, all possible and impossible bizarre modes of transport on water and in the air. Has anyone ever built an classical airship in Empyrion? Or an rusted tanker "Deez"
The style is of course junkyard and steampunk mixed.
My JCC Catamaran Hull belongs to this style.

3. A utopian, highly technical, mostly peaceful, luxurious and ecological water world.
Take a look at the link and you will immediately understand what I mean. These are my dreams.

So the style is clear. Here are some good buildings in the work shop such as: Eg "The Shor" by CrazyZ and the great Akua buildings by Yunaleska_Kurryku. And many others. They just have to get on the water. Unfortunately, the small selection of blocks at Empyrion caused some design limits here. But some things are possible.
My catamarans JCC1 and JCC2 belong to this scenario.
There are already many great boat models from Furious Hellfire and TBAGGER and a few others.

Which scenario would you like best? If you want to keep a little small talk about it, we can do it here and tell me your opinion on the topic.

Unfortunately I don't have much time, but I will create an object for a water world from time to time.

@ ELEON- Maybe at some point there will be the possibility to build real underwater buildings. It should not be difficult to define an airtight, oxygen-filled cubature so that it does not generate an underwater optic. Maybe thought of as a transparent voxel bubble like the rest of the landscape. That might be the first step. 😊

Cool ideas, if u can make use of some of the boats i made in my workshop, feel free to mod them, update them for A12 and post them on your workshop :)
