List of Item Substitutes
I have noticed some dinos give non-perishable resources that can substitute for valuble resources. Things like Armored Plates can be substituted for Silica Pearls and Shagreen Hide for organic polymer. Is there a comprehensive list of all of these substitute resources that tells who drops them?

Roadmap is the only thing that has them all. But they are not in a very user friendly format. Some I can remember off the top of my head:
Scaled/Quill are interchangeable with hide
Feathers work as cactus sap for clay
Turtle shells work as chitin

Found it, thanks. Here is the list from the roadmap for anyone else wondering:

Introduce New Hide Types and Harvestables:

Armored Scales: Dropped by Allosaurus, Dunkleosteus, Giganotosaurus, Kapros, Rex, Sarcos,
Thorny Dragons, and Titanosaur. Can be used in place of Silica Pearls.

Coir Fiber: Produced by growing coconuts (new crop). Can be used in place of Sinew Fiber.

Scaled Hide: Dropped by non-feathered dinosaurs. Can be used in place of Quill Hide.

Shagreen Hide: Dropped by Basilosaurus, Leeds, Liopleurodons, Mantas, Megalodon,
Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, Spinosaurus. Can be used in place of Polymer.

Sinew Fiber: Dropped when harvesting most corpses. Much slower spoil time (24 hours) vs Plant Fiber (20 minutes). Can be used in place of Plant Fiber in any recipe.

Spider Silk Fiber: Dropped by Jungle and Cave Spiders. Can be used in place of Silk.
