audacity2-4-2.exe in release of 2020-10-02
My Steam updated this today and seemed to download audacity2-4-2.exe along with it which was picked up by Norton as being a "Trojan.Gen.2".

Not at all accusing the package creator of anything, but can you please double-check that something hasn't been maliciously inserted in to the mod?

It may well be that something tried to hide the exe in this particular place on my side, but it was very strange that it appeared inside the workshop content folder for this mod! Just flagging.

I just noticed that aswell. Windoes defender labeled it as a Virus or Trojan called "PUA:Win32/Hypnamer.B!ml". Seems like Adware

Yeah, Windows Defender just blocked it for me too, it took me a bit to find out what was going on.... uninstalled for now. Really bizarre, you'd think Steam would automatically catch something like that...

the gamedev debugged the savegame for the last update, cause there was an issue with a sound, i will let him now and ask him for help

Well never mind, my bad. i downloaded audacity and for some reason it downloaded it to the savegame folder and uploaded the map. i am sorry, gonna fix asap!

You downloaded an infected audacity executeable and shipped it to all workshop subscribers.
At least I found the reason why windows defender complained about audacity2-4-2.exe.
Is the exe really removed by now?
