Just to check if my guess is right, correct anything I got wrong, this is how I think it goes:
1. Spend any stats to activate skills on students for the turn. Skills must be paid for each time you want to activate them. Higher level skills require spending focus as well, and can be accessed any time as long as you pay the focus cost each time. Each ability can only be activated once per turn.
2. For each skill activated on a student, gather the listed number and and types of dice.
3. Roll each of the dice and use your player markers to mark the area associated with that die. Each pip on a die results in 1 hit. For example, rolling a 3 results in 3 hits.
4. Once all of the required hits have been completed, distribute VP based on how much each player contributed.
And that's my guess as to how it works, except it took me about 10-15 minutes to figure that out and maybe only 20% of that was from the rulebook.
Also, are the numbers at the bottom of the student cards just there to show the distribution of stats from abilities? They're not actual dice you have to roll, right? This is just another one of my guesses. But if that's true, some of them are wrong, like Todoroki should only have a 1 for DEF at the bottom. Well, that's if I'm actually right on what the numbers represent, so I might be wrong.
But I appreciate the effort that it looks to be put into the game. Rulebook issues aside, I'd say it looks pretty good.
1. Higher Level Skills require a One time payment of that focus value indicated to get access. (You place one of your markers into the box labeled Level 1 on the student and move it to level 2 once u make the payment)
For example, if you pay 5 focus you can level up your level 1 student to level 2 and now permanently you have access to the two abilities on this card. Later when you get 7 Focus and you use it on this student you can get access to the third level ability. (some have only 2 as you may have seen and those cost 6 focus instead of the 5 focus).
2. That's exactly right
3. That's exactly right
4. That's exactly right
The numbers on the bottom of each student card is a rough estimate as to the potential for each student. Their potential dice they can roll. This is so when you draft you can try and optimize having a little bit in each of the 4 categories of Attack, Speed, Tactical, Defend, etc.
Again thanks for the feedback. I'll be monitoring this discussion page to answer any questions and provide fixes to them or improvements!

1. The skill points are described as "pooled" together, so can I, for exemple, use a 2ADP+2FIT card and distribute the 2 ADP to one guy and 2FIT to the other, or even go 2ADP+1FIT and 1FIT, or is it a pool for only on student ?
2. Is the number at the bottom of the skill cards the focus cost when you buy it or do they all cost 1 focus point ? And Is the number at the Top the VP that you are supposed to count in case of a tie ?
Thx for the good work, it's really fun nonetheless
1. Exactly right. And don't be worried about the support cards. Even if you equip a support card on a student and then activate it, the skill points (ADP,FIT,KNW) STILL go into the pool for any student to use. Think of it as working together.
2. Bottom right of the card is actually the VP value you get at the end of a game for having the card in your deck. Not only do you get VP from beating events you get them from the lessons you learned along the way! That is why the starter cards have a big zero on top right but I should make a change in rulebook to make sure it's clarified for even new players.
