When the federation first researches the GM, they only get a template with beam spray guns even if they dont have beam spray researched. The AI isnt smart enough to fix this and just uses this template when they dont have the spray guns. Could they instead get a template with MS machine guns and only get the beam spray gun division template when both are researched?

And the division template zeon gets when reverse engineering the GM should use MS machine guns too since they wont have beam spray guns either.
