Ideas. =D
Who'd be fantastic to see as a unique recruit-able, videogame wise:
Obviously we've got The Doom Slayer guy in, though I wonder if these'll inspire anyone?

Samus Aran - Metroid.
Alcatraz - Crysis.
Albert Wesker - Resident Evil.
Big Daddy - BioShock.

Resident Evil: Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, Sherry Birkin, Carlos Oliviera, Sheva Alomar, Piers Nivans, Jake Muller.

FEAR: Paxton Fettel, Point Man, Michael Beckett, Foxtrot 813, Alma Wade.

Quake: Ranger, Bitterman, Matthew Kane. maybe one of the Arena characters (I know Crash was the slayer's Military instructor from back before he became the slayer and was just the Doom Guy but there's a lot of wierdes in the arena games so that's just an example)

Metal Gear: Solid Snake, Big Boss, Venom Snake, Meryl Silverburg, Hal "Otacon" Emerich, Quiet, Grey Fox, Raiden, Jetstream Sam.

to anyone who wants to try to make their own recruitable characters like the Slayer here are some examples.
