rFactor 2

rFactor 2

Acura ARX-05 DPi
Bug List
It seems lots of people are commenting on the Fuel issue in the cars so I figured i would start a discussion to hopefully make it more visible to RSS. Absolutely fantastic mod other than a few simple issues.

1. Fuel seems incorrect in all vehicles, at Watkins Glen w/Boot 71L of fuel is good for 10 Laps, very far off. To me its almost as if the fuel is running a x4 multiplier. The tires may be effected by this as well but that could also just be a problem with the driver.

2. No driver names. This really hurts my sense of immersion, silly and minuscule as it is. I volunteer as tribute to edit the .veh files if RSS wants any assistance.

Please post any other bugs you find in this thread so we can help improve what is already one of the best mods available for rFactor 2!

Hey mate! Thanks for your feedback!

1. Actually that's kinda thing that balances from race to race for each manufacturer, so league admin can adjust that via upgrades. Also you have 5 engine modes to save fuel during race.

2. Yep we know about it and we will fix that in the next update.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for the response!! I'm still struggling with the fuel though, I race primarily offline, are there upgrades I can adjust?

I have to tell you how much I appreciate the DPi's, they're my favorite cars around right now and I have been dying to drive them in something, let alone my favorite sim. I followed along with development and things looked great as you went along, but your release has blown me out of the water. Just a great very well done mod my friend, modeling is spot on, physics are great, interiors look amazing. Thank you again.

Ok, so after some testing I have found that despite showing 71L is good for 10 Laps in the set-up screen it is in fact good for at least 20 Laps, using the Race Lean engine setting. I say at least 20 Laps because I crashed on lap 20. So somehow when rF2 is calculating the fuel for the set up screen it gets confused and shows bad info. Hope this helps!

Yep calculations is not right, we dunno about it, maybe it's because of our engines has turbo and multiplie engine modes so rF2 may calculate it not right. Anyway you should test it for yourself because as you know our favourite sim so good that every driver have different fuel consumption even with equal setups on the same track :steamhappy:

Hello Nick, hello to the dev Team, first of all all these cars are just great. Fantastic 3D models and especially good physics. The liverys are aswell very good but please can you do some AI driver files for all the cars?
And furthermore my biggest critic points, please overdo all 3 cars sounds. Interior and extermal sound are, hm you know what I mean, not that good.
Anyway thx for this cars and keep up that great work!
Visually it's definetaly up to basic content.

edit: i am an idiot

i had a steam workshop collection installed, which pulled in your imsa dpi mods.
The workshop collection however somehow had the old 0.60 version of your cars
-> 1.15 is fine, 0.60 has the bug described below...

old message, please ignore:

Hi,
i sometimes have the problem that driving over some curbs will stop the car dead in its tracks.

Happens on the second to last turn on the new Zandvoort 2020 track (although this may just be Zandvoort 2020 being still in alpha!) and on turn 3 on road america.

Here's a video of it happening on Zandvoort: https://streamable.com/7fwbjv

I'll probably make another video of turn 3 road america and try to find where/if that happens anywhere else.

btw: was always using the stock setup -> maybe that's the issue? As in: is this how rF2 handles bottoming out of the front? ^^
