Ural Mountains are many-many kilometers far from Moscow to the east!

This was the deep rear of the Soviet Union during all the World War II, where never the German Army was at all. Even never via airdropping, nor airstrikes and bombing, because at that time even most aircrafts might not fly on such distances without refueling (at least from the front-line in 1943).

Look at the map and compare territories of the Urals only (from north to south) with some part of the Europe covering by several european countries all together.
