Spice trade nerf
Probably you have noticed the new idea of spice trade this mod offers. It makes trading really useful, so you can play as true merchant. No more steal everything stlye, when you have to steal everything from everywhere in order to buy some food or other stuff.

However, this feels too unbalanced by now. I can make like 10k cats per day with only one man, simply hauling spices between the nearest towns. The profits are much bigger than even trading hashish. I tried to sell cactus sugar and hemp spice (I dont remember the name correctly) - buy them at the Stack, then sell at the Hub or the nearest trading post close by. The profit is more than 400% per bag and you can haul it there and get back to Stack the same day.

It feels unbalanced, so the question is - could you change the profit gained by the spice trade? Make it less gamebreaking probably? Maybe upload a version of the same mod, but with different profits from spice trade? Would be really great!

+1 just made a small fortune with a blank new game just by selling the nearest hive village vinegar and gin to the hub. Didn't make numbers but it at first glance seems even more profitable that hash contraband routes, being this hub to hive route, a way shorter and safer route.

I appreciate the variety of foods options, very cool, immersive and nice gameplay wise... except the alcohol, spice and elaborates profits..., it would be nice to have them adjusted according to the routes that you have to take, just like happens with sake and hash.

My main complaint is some of the base games items have their prices increased a lot. Mainly stuff like Wheatstraw and Cotton. Which drives up the price of strawflour, bread, anything else made from either, by a fairly sizable amount (Grog for 3k?!), and about doubles the base cost of fabric. Which in turn suddenly makes Hemp based fabric a source of possible income, considering how cheap 3 Hemp is compared to the cost of the resulting fabric.

Personally, I think prices should not be so high with increases based on region. Maybe no more than 2-3 times the opposite of the best discount. So if an item can be bought for -35% in its 'home' area, that other areas should not exceed a price increase of 70-100%. If the best discount is -25%, then the best markup should top out about 50%.

The Waystations don't even have modifiers for the new trade items. You could, for example, get cactus salt and ground cinnamon at Squin for a small discount, sell it at the Waystation SW of Squin for a small profit, pick up greenfruit sugar, dried hemp and hemp pepper at the base cost, then sell it at Squin for a nice profit.
Similar for wandering traders, if you catch them in a region, 'away' from any town, they appear to have just the base cost, no modifier. Running into a caravan selling goods for the base cost, when you are just a minute away from a town with a massive 250% markup, makes for way to easy profit.
One can also just stockpile the ingredients, like dried hemp, dried greenfruit, cinammon, dried cactus, etc, and make the spices yourself for a nice little profit.

If one has a mod that increases the money shops have... yeah, just get a fast runner with a wooden backpack, and you could make an absurd profit even on a solo run.

I can imagine hydroponics and a mod to allow easy water in a town (be it a moisture collector or 'indoors well'), and you can just 'grow' your mass profits next door to where ever you are usually trading at. Just need a town with a few bars and/or a trade shop, and a large enough building for sale, to make a killing with stuff and stockpile cheap trade goods to sell elsewhere for yet more profit.

On a similar note, I do get a feeling some of the food items could also use a little tweaking. Some give me a feel they get a fair bit more nutrition value than the stock foods, compared to the ingredients used. Not to mentioned the hefty prices for anything involving bread, wheatstraw of strawflour.
And stuff like the Marinated Meat, yikes on the cost for that stuff.

Spice trade is way too op. The markups can stay the same, but the base value of the items should definitely be way lower. All I need is one dude with a trader's pack and then just trade hemp pepper and cinnamon ground sugar back and forth between the hive village, the hub, and stack, and I can easily get hundreds of thousands of cats within a few days, making the game way too easy. Love the concept of the spice trade, but like I said definitely should have lower base values
