No more slow water!
Swamp 2.0:
- Slow water effect is gone!
We have changed the slow water effect in version 2.0 because of feeback.
So right now it is gone and we have adapted our layout after that with some changes.
The map feels more easy to learn and newbie friendly.

Swamp 1.0:
- Why did we add that you go slower in slime and deep water?

The reason why a player goes slow where there is "slime" and deep water is because to avoid players not choosing to always use shortcuts or to run around in the slime more than necessary.
You have a choice to choose it on certain rounds which can be crucial as it opens up new angles to a bombsite eg.
The map is designed so even if you choose to go to the middle in slime as a terrorist after spawn you still have great timing against CT in the middle but you always have a choice to avoid water and slime completely.

It is a new unique way to get a player to make decisions and a good way to "limit" one such open map in a smooth way.

the fact that bunnyhopping and runboosting negate the speed penalty which makes the swamp part of this swamp less of a gimmick and more of a nuisance, to be honest.

Yes absolutely, of course you can get there faster if you jump in water, that's how CS:GO works as you know, applies both on land and in water and something that we are fully aware of.
To use walk is also an option to use as you then make no sound whatsoever in water, many variants are available.
This is the coolest thing i've seen in a csgo map. Looking forward to playing it. Hope you keep coming up with unique stuff like this. :)

Thanks buddy, nice of you to say! I miss you at the Hub! :)
I suggest to have 2 versions: with and without slow water. I got a bit sad here, liked the idea. Same as with Chlorine, where they had that awesome SAS models I wanted to save but at time I got packrat, they even removed them and replaced them by boring not so fitting FBI models :c
I kinda liked that Mustang haven't got into csgo bcos they could edit it so I got to hate it. Although there is some stuff there that realy needed patchez

Agree with you, there is should be version w/ slow water!
How you made water slow down players? I want to add this to my wingman map, but i can't find how to do this.
