M4A4 - ASIIMOV
Sci-fi reference to Asimov?
Is the name "ASIIMOV" a reference to the great sci-fi writer, Isaac Asimov? Many of you will recognize the title "I, Robot" because of the movie with Will Smith, but it's also a great collection of short stories dealing with artificial intelligence.
If so, kudos to the gun-skin creator, Asimov was a great man and deserves to have things named after him. :D: Seeing this reminds me that I need to read more from him.

(On the topic of writers, you all should also check out Kurt Vonnegut and Ray Bradbury.)

Whatever the design was inspired by, the name is pretty obviously a tribute to the great writer.

I loved the "I, Robot" books! The errors they shown in the 3 laws were well thought out, and it had a decent amount of humor too.

That page says nothing about Asimov/ASIIMOV. Please read the question before responding.

Isaac Asimov was a Phd who is well known for his Foundation Trilogy and for I,Robot among other science fiction works. He has his own wikipedia page which goes into details. He is sometimes referred to as the "master of science fiction."

EDIT: He also wrote large amounts of non-fiction work in addition to his science fiction stories.

Hey keep up the great work these skins look great and do credit to the sci-fi theme. If all of the rest are this good I see no reason for these not to be in the next weapon pack that is released.

Thanks for the comment and support cobaltnova, It would be super exciting and an honour to get a skin in the game but I enjoy making them so even if nothing comes of it at least I find it fun to do. :-)

Also seeing all the support and comments from you guys is super inspiring and makes me want to do more anyway.
Isaac Asimov once said, "Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinded critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence, has become crucial to our salvation, if we are to be saved at all."

Best quote ever...
