Hi, im playing the campaing with Portugal at hard difficult (idk if that matters anyway) and all is going okay except one important thing: My main character is excommunicated forever.

I started knowing the fact that i would have to deal with that, but in theory, when you are excommunicated, you have to wait for your king's death, then your new heir will not be excommunicated.

I have to say that i made Alfonso dies fighting some rebels, so, should i have to wait for him to die in natural way? Does that matters? Its hard to play in that way because i have to deal with moors and also catholics.
