Difficulty settings
The mod introduces excellent qualities, but at times, it also presents significant challenges that may not always be enjoyable. To address this, it could be beneficial to include a difficulty-setting menu that allows players to tailor their experience to their preferences.

Chameleons currently pose a formidable threat, especially when they appear early in the game. Their ability to vanish after each shot and inflict rupture and bleeding effects makes them exceptionally dangerous. To address this, a slight nerf to their abilities may be necessary to balance their difficulty. While the mechanics are engaging, players often feel compelled to bring a battle scanner or scanning protocol specialist on every mission until they unlock the shadow chamber. This could be frustrating, and it may be helpful to provide players with a counter-action to the Chameleons' vanish ability earlier in the game. Moreover, if the issue mainly stems from Advent-controlled Chameleons, having them as a rare occasion through the Hive sitrep might be a more reasonable approach.

The concept of spawning pits being immune to all damage except explosives is intriguing, but it can lead to mission failures if players run out of available explosives. To address this, it might be more enjoyable to give spawning pits a large health pool but allow their vulnerability to conventional fire. This way, players will have more tactical options to deal with them, and being forced to evacuate a mission solely due to lacking explosives wouldn't be a concern.

By implementing these adjustments, the mod could maintain its excellent mechanics while providing a more balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience for players of varying skill levels.
