If you don't really understand what "3rd red" means then you could check the screenshots at the workshop page of the mod.
i'ma try to update that guide a bit later, so it would contain more info about each setting.
As far as i'm concerned, there seems not to really be an option for that, but rather a workaround. For anyone interested: Add a second smart cannon (best behind the actual one) and set the explosion radius to 0 as well as the lifetime to a very small number. Set the offset of this cannon to the actual cannon that will shoot the projectile and shoot both at the same time. This seems to be a valid workaround.
