How to cause meltdown on map
You need 3 slams and the Chrome Liner map. Now what to do: activate extinguisher above reactor which will deactivate the core so you do not get burned. Once core is off throw 3 slams into where the blue orb is when the reactor is on and then go to controls and turn on reactor. After that activate the slams and now you have a meltdown.

look I am new to Garry's mod and all this Half-Life stuff so bear with me.
BTW no I do not belive this event will happen at random.
if you are still confused about the SLAMS it's the bombs you have a trigger for in your hand to make them go BOOM.

You can cause a meltdown by just shooting the reactor with a gun, it doesn't need to just be with the slam.

BTW this is an old post so it makes me look stupid
and I know about the actual way but then I was new and had next to no clue what I was doing.

Easier method: enable core maintenance mode (at engineering) and put a explosive barrel in the laser tube things you only need 1 not 1 in each tube just 1 you can add more if you like put it near the closed door that is near the center of the core and then disable core maintenance mode

you just need to shoot the core with any weapon boom
