I used the biped rigs. For lots of the classes I disabled the biped constraints on the arms, mainly the ones who don't need to connect their hands to anything. Then I'd switch the arms to biped again just to touch up the elbows and collars.

ohhh. ok, and how did you export the animation sense its bimped?

just detach the biped rig.
However If you use the IK arms Jesse used here, you have to set a second model to biped, copy over the biped animations first, then set the second model back to IK and copy over the IK arms.
