These turrets seem huge, for what they are supposed to be. Generally things intended for indoor use are smaller then outdoor comparable equipment, as you're not space limited outside. The normal turrets are small and unobtrusive, and these indoor turrets are *massive* in comparison. Just looking at that first screenshot, graphically the "wall turrets" are hanging out into the extra space around them. Heck, the turrets are bigger then the walls they are attached to! The barrels alone looks to be 2-3 times bigger then a standard turret.
I'd suggest drastically toning down the size of them. Like, no bigger then the standard vanilla mini turret probably. Would likely make them look a lot more like actually wall mounted guns, rather then giant industrial ground mounted cannons.
Again though, this is 100% subjective opinion.
I agree, see this started out with originally taking the mini turret, taking off the 'legs' and putting a base under it
Obviously, I never expected it to be the size of a freaking continent with how big it is
I will work on making them smaller.
Minigun turret recipe should consisted of a minigun.
I know maybe I am pushing my luck, but how do you think a mechanoid guns (charge blaster) wall mounted turret?
Could have a look, not sure how i'd make the recipe for the minigun turret consist of a minigun, it will require heavy turrets research however (Autocannon/Uranium slug turret) to build because...Minigun.
I'll go through your ideas below and give my views/ideas on what they could look like/how they could work
Shotgun - Could certainly be looked at, though the range for it would be really small, probably only good for corners (Or really tight spaces, I mean, for comparisions sake the flame turret only has around 10 tiles of range, and that is small
EMP/Stun - Not sure how I could do that, maybe have it like a sniper turret, a long range, accurate shots, but low damage and long time between shooting (Maybe have it so it shoots a couple burst shots?)
Charge - I assume you mean like the charge lance/rifle, I like the idea of it, though I'm not sure where i'd incorporate it in terms of research, maybe perhaps it could give me an excuse to make a new research 'path' where it starts at basic, to flame, rocket, minigun, and charge, and it can act as upgraded normal turret.
Mechanoid gun turrets - So for the charge blaster, it seems more like a 'supression' turret, or an upgraded minigun turret perhaps? As for the inferno cannon, it can just be that, an inferno cannon, shoots exploding balls of fire like the original, or the incendiary launcher.
