So basically, a lot of the major Civil Rights events (which were in the 50's-Early 70's, I think) happened in Alabama. There is a chance for a more liberal focus tree, although slim. It would be interesting to see if the Civil Rights groups that existed back then to gain a momentum now that the U.S. is now effectively dead in the mod.

There could be a neat civil war event or something like the Banditry national spirit that Manchukuo has.

About the Confederacy, I think Alabama or South Carolina would be the most likely to form it. Alabama's Capital, Montgomery, was also known for being the 'cradle of the confederacy,' seeing as the White population generally sided with segregationist politics and you can see where it goes from here.
