AI Script - Zombie like attack (Attack without firearms)
Hello Mondkalb and Hello to all mod addicts ;) ,

I'm really interested in this addon as I believe the aliens in Contact DLC will be more of a background plot than an actual face to face encounter with the aliens.

I really enjoy the alien's skins, before I use the edit many missions with the following mod called: FAP Units https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=656514091&searchtext=+aliens

In this mod the creator added some units called "bloodseeker" which are AI working pretty much like zombies:

- No weapons.
- Fast moving units.
- More resistant to damage (allowing them to close a small distance between them and their target even underfire).
- Only kills you once they can physically reach you with a kick animation (One shot kill).

I will also link a scene from one of my missions at 5:43, in this video you can actually see the cameraman (me) getting wrecked by the alien, it's at 5:43. (I can't seem to be able to make it start from the actual timing required on Steam):

Do you think it will be possible to add for each type of skin a "zombie-like" AI?

I think the real interest of the alien type of missions in ARMA III is mostly coming from the fear you get of knowing that something is lurking and hunting you down in a naturally oppressive environment like Tanoa's jungle for instance.

Maybe this is just me but I don't really see the point in engaging into an open weaponized conflict with aliens as the enemy is known and will shoot us from far which kills most of the fear element as well as (I believe) the purpose of fighting aliens. (Adding to that the fact that, actual good looking alien like weapons can't be found in the workshop so far)

For instance, the XCOM franchise doesn't generate much fear out of the aliens themselves as we know what they are overall, which is logical as the game genre was intended as a strategy/tactical Sci-fi combat.

Whereas some of the best alien/extraterrestrial missions in the Steam workshop for ARMA III, consists of missions that are mostly relying on the element of fear and mostly the fear of the unknown until the aliens are revealed physically and then hell brakes loose.

No offense there, I just wanted to share a point of view and maybe provide you content, information, and elements that might help you enhance the already outstanding work you have done.

Contact opposition team, they re-purposed Ryan Z&D to make the Starship Troopers mods, it does exactly what you want.

Thanks for the info, indeed it looks cool. ;-)
My only issue is the format as out of the Starship Troopers mod I would only use the alien AI.
Ideally the best solution would be to just have a mod that only add alien AI that will work like zombies. :- / I know it's a specific need but the one that will make this happen will go big in the community I think as since the contact DLC launch that a common complaint.

This would be nice considering that the aliens are using weapons from the humans kinda seems strange to me.
