FPS DROP WORK AROUND
Just drop an item like a bag or shirt on the ground, target your cursor over top of the area taken up by the item and the FPS drop goes away. Once you leave and your cursor is back over top of grass or other terrain... FPS will drop again.

i dont see how this is a work around if you state it will happen immediately after doing said workaround :/

It has since been fixed. And its a work arouind in the sense that if you place an item on the ground it allowed you to focus on the place youre attemtping to place on.
